Description
Finnegan's Hostel and B&B Accommodation is a fully restored 18th century Georgian Town House situated on the main street in the heart of Tralee - a town founded in the 13th century and stronghold of the Earl of Desmond. This building was originally built by the Denny family from the stones of the old Town Castle. The house was completed in 1826 and used as a private residence until 1940.
Today this Georgian house offers Budget Hostel and B&B Accommodation. Totally renovated in 2003, you can have your meal in the original kitchen or servants quarters. The sitting rooms still have the original fireplaces and boast a view of the town park rose garden and water fountain.
The kitchen still has the Old Stove Cooker. The Wine Cellars in the basement have been turned into a restaurant / bar. A great winding staircase leads to twin, double and dormitories, all with en suite bathrooms.
